This book distinguishes between external infections and internal injuries. All diseases caused by mental stimulation, improper diet, etc. are internal injuries, and their treatment focuses on regulating the spleen and stomach, indicating that the syndrome and treatment are different from the six external contraction diseases. The first volume is about syndrome differentiation, with a detailed discussion of yin syndrome, yang syndrome, pulse manifestation, Hanre, exogenous Bafeng (EX-LE10) evil, palms and backs of hands, mouth and nose, muscles and bones, limbs, headache, shortage of qi Abundance, no aversion to food, no thirst, disease caused by labor, syndrome differentiation and middle-heat, and other syndromes, the difference between internal injuries and external injuries; the volume includes medical treatises on diet-strain injuries, addition and subtraction of medication at the four seasons, heat-heat injuries, stomachache qi, etc., as well as Middle- Tonifying Qi-Replenishing Decoction, Shengsheng Fuqi Decoction and other prescription contents; the lower part of the volume contains the appropriate and contraindications for the use of medicines, as well as alcohol addiction, preparation of prescriptions at the time of illness, and the use of medicines at any time.

The whole book provides a comprehensive and systematic exposition on the theory of diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases caused by fatigue due to eating and drinking. It highlights the important position of the spleen and stomach in the occurrence, development and change of internal injuries, and this is fully reflected in the treatment of internal injuries, such as the specially formulated Middle-Tonifying Qi-Replenishing Decoction, which uses Astragalus Root, and is formulated with Use Cimicifuga Rhizome products to replenish the earth-generating metal, enhance clearness and reduce turbidity.
