This book is abbreviated as Chao's Disease Causes, also known as Chao's Disease Zhubing Yuanhou Lun , A Summary of Causes and Symptoms of Various Diseases. During the Daye period of the Sui Dynasty, Dr. Chao Yuan-fang, the imperial physician of the Sui Dynasty, was ordered to compile it together with Wu Jingxian and others. It was written in the sixth year of Sui Dynasty (610). The book consists of fifty volumes and sixty-seven chapters. This book is my country's first medical theory work compiled by the imperial court and collectively written. The earliest extant version of this book is the Yuan Dynasty edition, and the most common version is the photocopy of the People's Medical Publishing House in 1955.
