bubble_chart Description Wangshuhe Maijue, abbreviated as Maijue, is widely believed to be a work attributed to Gao Yang-sheng from the Six Dynasties period. The main content of this book is derived from Wang Shu-heMaijue, compiled into a four-character verse format, explaining the principles and methods of pulse diagnosis. It categorizes 24 types of pulse manifestations into three groups: seven external pulses (floating, hollow, slippery, full, wiry, tight, surging), eight internal pulses (faint, deep, moderate, rough, slow, hidden, soggy, weak), and nine pathway pulses (long, short, empty, rapid, knotted, intermittent, firm, moving, thin). Due to its simplicity and ease of learning, it was widely circulated between the Song and Yuan dynasties. However, many physicians consider the text to be crude and containing numerous errors. Several printed editions and annotated versions exist, with the earlier ones being the Compiled Illustrations and Discussions on Maijue Integration from the Yuan Dynasty and a block-printed edition from the orthodox period of the Ming Dynasty. The annotated version by Xiong Zong-li from the Ming Dynasty is titled Wutingzi's Popular Explanation of Maijue.
