This book is also known as Zhinan Fang, written by Shi Kan of the Song Dynasty. It was completed in 1068 and published in 1085. The main versions include the Ten Thousand Volumes Tower Series edition and the 1955 Three Medical Prescriptions of the Song People lead-printed edition by the Commercial Press.

The book is divided into two volumes, upper and lower, with 31 sections, each containing several medical discussions. At the end of the book, dozens of treatment formulas are appended. The first volume begins with a discussion of the normal pulse in the four seasons and the diseases caused by the five circuits and six qi, followed by descriptions of conditions such as diarrhea, constipation, fever, headache, distension, asthma, and cold-damage disease. It also discusses the diagnosis of seminal emission, sweat pulse, maidens, women's pulses, jaundice, and includes related formulas. The second volume covers the diagnosis of stomach pulse, treatment formulas, a general discussion on being a physician, treatments for phlegm and dysentery, and theories related to the five circuits and six qi. The book emphasizes the use of the five circuits and six qi theory to explain the mechanisms of disease occurrence, development, and changes. In clinical diagnosis and treatment, it stresses the importance of pulse diagnosis, dedicating extensive space to elucidate the pulse manifestation characteristics and internal mechanisms of various diseases, often using the pulse to determine the nature of the syndrome and guide treatment.
