This book, consisting of four volumes, was published in the 13th year of Jiaqing (1808). The author, Qian Xiu-chang, renowned for his expertise in traumatology, compiled the essence of the field and integrated his extensive treatment experiences to create this work. Volume one discusses key acupoints of the human body, bonesetting instruments, Gudu, and Maijue. Volume two presents thirty-six principles for treating injuries, including theories on incised wounds and methods for addressing traumatological diseases in various parts of the body. Volume three contains therapeutic recipes and mnemonic verses for decoctions. Volume four selects essential prescriptions from various experts in traumatology and includes Jijiu Liangfang. The book is concise and practical, notably featuring the experience of using poplar wood to heal fractures where bones fail to reconnect, a particularly rare and valuable contribution.
