"Chong" (衝) refers to the vigorous pulse of dorsal pedal artery (Fuyang pulse), indicating abundant blood and qi. "yang" (陽) refers to the high point on the dorsum of foot.

The highest point of the dorsum of foot, between extensor pollicis longus tendon and extensor digitorum longus tendon, where the dorsalis pedis artery pulses.

- Muscles: extensor digitorum longus tendon on the lateral side and extensor pollicis longus tendon on the medial side.
- Nerve: dorsal medial cutaneous nerve from superficial peroneal nerve, and deep peroneal nerve in the deeper layer.
- Vessels: dorsalis pedis artery, vein and dorsal pedis venous network.
