On anterior thigh, along the line connecting anterior superior iliac spine (ASIS) and lateral border of patellar base, 6 cun above patellar base, at the belly of rectus femoris muscle.

- Muscle: bely of rectus femoris muscle.
- Nerve: anterior cutaneous branch of femoral nerve, lateral femoral cutaneous nerve.
- Vessels: branches of the lateral circumflex femoral artery and vein.

Perpendicular insertion 1 to 2 cun. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 ~ 5 rounds, moxibustion with moxa stick 5 ~ 10 minutes.
