"Huarou" (滑肉), slippery meat, refers to the sheath of rectus abdominis muscle; "men" (門), door, the entry and exit point, refers to the acupoint. The point is located at the sheath of the rectus abdominis muscle, hence its name.

in the upper abdomen, 1 cun above the navel (Shuifen (CV9)) and 2 cun lateral to the midline, at the level 1 cun above Tianshu (ST25).

  • Muscles: Rectus abdominis and its sheath.
  • Nerve: Ninth intercostal nerve branches.
  • Vessels: branches of the ninth intercostal artery and vein and inferior epigastric artery and vein.

Perpendicular insertion or oblique insertion 0.5~1.5 cun. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 ~ 5 rounds, moxibustion with moxa stick 10 ~ 15 minutes.

  • Classical: stiff tongue, hematemesis, various stomach diseases, prolapse of rectum, madness, epilepsy, vomiting, tongue thrusting.
