【Origin】
The lateral ankle refers to the bulge on the outside of the ankle joint, with the acupoint on it, hence the name Waihuaijian (EX-LE9).
【Location】
On the outside of the foot, on the bulge of the lateral ankle.
【Anatomy】
It has the cruciate ligament of the calf and the peroneus longus and brevis tendon; it has the sural nerve.
【Manipulation】
Acupuncture bleeding. Moxibustion 3 to 7 days.
【Efficacy】
Lymphoma, athlete's foot, muscle cramp, toe spasm, toothache, gingival abscess, gonorrhea, carcinoma of tongue, multiple arthralgia, tonsillitis.

- Muscle cramp outside the foot: Waihuaijian (EX-LE9), Juegu, Yangling.
- White Tiger multiple arthralgia pain: Waihuaijian (EX-LE9) (moxibustion), medial malleolus (moxibustion)
