【Origin】
The medial malleolus refers to the bulge on the inside of the ankle joint, with the acupuncture point on it, hence the name Neihuaijian (EX-LE8).
【Location】
On the inner side of the foot, the bulge of the medial malleolus.
【Anatomy】
There is the cruciate ligament of the calf; between the tibialis anterior tendon and the flexor digitorum longus; beneath it there is the abductor pollicis muscle.
【Manipulation】
oblique insertion or transverse insertion 0.5 to 1 inch, local soreness. Moxibustion 5 strong.
【Efficacy】
Muscle cramp in the foot, fistula disease, mute speech in children, cholera muscle cramp, toothache, tonsillitis.

- Muscle cramp in the foot: Neihuaijian (EX-LE8) (moxibustion), Sanyinjiao (SP6), Zhaohai (KI6).
- toothache: Neihuaijian (EX-LE8), Jiache (ST6), Hegu (LI4).
- Baihu multiple arthralgia pain: medial malleolus (moxibustion), Waihuaijian (EX-LE9) (moxibustion).
