【Origin】
This point has the function of diagnosing and treating Lanwei (EX-LE7) inflammation, hence the name Lanwei (EX-LE7).
【Location】
On the upper part of the front side of the calf, five inches below
Dubi (ST35), one finger wide apart from the front edge of the tibia.
【Anatomy】
In the tibialis anterior muscle and extensor digitorum longus muscle; there are anterior tibial artery and vein; there are lateral sural cutaneous nerve and deep peroneal nerve.
【Manipulation】
Perpendicular insertion 1.5～2.5 inches.
【Efficacy】
Acute and chronic Lanwei (EX-LE7) inflammation, epigastric pain, indigestion, paralysis, foot drop.
【Recipe】
- Acute simple Lanwei (EX-LE7) inflammation: Lanwei (EX-LE7) point, Tianshu (ST25) (right), abdominal tender points.
【Notes】
This point is close to the "Shangjuxu (ST37)" point, which is the "lower sea point" of the large intestine.
