"Kufang" (庫房) is a place for storage, and it is located in the thick bulge of muscles. It also belongs to foot yangming stomach meridian (ST), hence the name.

4 cun lateral to the anterior median line of chest, in the depression of the first intercostal space. It is level with Huagai (CV20) and approximately at the upper one-fourth point of the line connecting the midpoint of clavicle (below Qihu (ST13)) and the nipple (Ruzhong ( ST17)).

  • Muscles: pectoralis major and pectoralis minor; the deep layers are the internal and external muscles of the first intercostal space.
  • Nerve: branches of anterior thoracic nerve.
  • Vessels: thoracoacromial artery and vein and branches of lateral thoracic artery and vein.

Subcutaneous insertion 0.5~0.8 cun. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 ~ 5 rounds, moxibustion with moxa stick 5 ~ 10 minutes.
