This acupoint is located three and a half cun in front and below the acromion. It mainly treats paralysis of the upper limbs. It has the function of raising the arm, so it is called arm raising.

The needle passes through the skin and subcutaneous tissue and reaches the deep surface of the deltoid muscle. The superficial layer contains the supraclavicular nerve; the deep layer contains the branches of the axillary artery and vein and the muscular branches of the axillary nerve.
