On the neck, at the midpoint of the line connecting Renying (ST9) and Qishe (ST11); at anterior border of sternocleidomastoid muscle, level with the lower border of thyroid cartilage.
  • Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "In front of the large tendon of the neck, directly below Renying (ST9) and above Qishe (ST11 )";
  • Leijing Tuyi: "Internally adjacent to trachea".
