[Origin]
White jade is the hall, which refers to the noble place where the mind lives. In ancient times, the main house was often called the hall, which was usually located on the central axis of the residential building complex and was generally occupied by the elderly. This point corresponds to the heart and is located above Zhongting (CV16), hence its name. Song Yu's Feng Fu: "Walking around Zhongting (CV16), heading north to Yutang (CV18)."

The midline of the chest is level with the third intercostal space, which is the midpoint of the sternum.
[Anatomy]
- Muscles: Superficial muscles have a thin membrane and almost no fat.
- Nerve: medial branch of the anterior cutaneous branch of the third intercostal nerve.
- Blood vessels: anterior perforators of arteries and veins within the thoracic cage (breast).
[Manipulation]
Subcutaneous insertion 0.3~0.5 inches. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 5 times, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 15 to 20 minutes.
[Efficacy]
Broad chest, lower inverse position.
- Classical: chest fullness, asthma, chest and rib pain, vomiting, vexation, breast swelling and pain, pharyngitis and pharyngeal swelling.
- Modern: tracheitis, thoracic membrane inflammation, costochondritis.
