[Origin]
Jiuwei (CV15), the tail of a turtle dove, describes the xiphoid process of the sternum, and the point is underneath it. Suwen‧Qifu Lun Wang Bing notes: "Jiuwei (CV15) is also the name of the point in front of the heart. It is right at the end of the heart covering the bones. It is said that the bones hang down like Jiuwei (CV15)."

Seven inches above the umbilicus in the midline of the upper abdomen, in the depression below the xiphoid process of the sternum. Because the xiphoid process is embedded in the sheath of the rectus abdominis and is difficult to reach, the acupoint can be located an inch below the lower end of the sternum (the distal bone).
[Anatomy]
- Muscle: origin of rectus abdominis.
- Nerve: medial branch of the anterior cutaneous branch of the sixth intercostal nerve.
- Blood vessels: branches of superior epigastric artery and vein.
[Manipulation]
Oblique insertion downwards is 0.3~0.5 inches, not too deep. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 5 times, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 15 to 20 minutes.

Clears the mind, calms the mind, and relieves the diaphragm.
