[Origin]
Jian, construction; li, settlement, refers to acupoint. It means the place of Jianzhong (spleen and stomach). The point near the stomach has the effect of regulating stomach qi.

[Anatomy]
- Muscle: in the linea alba; inner layer is the transverse colon.
- Nerve: medial branch of the anterior cutaneous branch of the eighth intercostal nerve.
- Vessel: The junction of the branches of the superior and inferior epigastric arteries.
[Manipulation]
Perpendicular insertion 1~1.5 inches. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 7 days, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 15 to 20 minutes.
[Efficacy]
- Classical: abdominal distension and fullness, abdominal pain, epigastralgia, loss of appetite, vomiting and bloating, heart pain and body swelling.
- Modern: chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer, gastroptosis.
