On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the 9th thoracic vertebra.
[Anatomy]
In the lumbar tendon membrane, supraspinal ligament and interspinous ligament, there are the posterior branch of the ninth intercostal artery, the interspinous subcutaneous venous plexus, and the medial branch of the posterior branch of the ninth thoracic nerve.
[Manipulation]
Oblique insertion 0.5~1 inch; moxibustion can be used.
[Efficacy]
Madness, fright epilepsy, spasm, back pain, epigastralgia, jaundice, limb loss, muscular spasm.
[Recipe]
- With Jiaosun (TE20), Chimai to treat fright epilepsy, scabies and opisthotonus in children; with Tongli (HT5) treats epilepsy; used with Shuidao (ST28) to treat spinal cord weakness.
