The upper and front part of the tragus of the cheek, the posterior edge of the mandibular condyle, and the mouth opening is a depression.
[Anatomy]
- Nerve: Auriculotemporal nerve, facial neuritis.
- Vessels: superficial temporal artery, anterior auricular branch of vein.
[Manipulation]
Insert the needle when opening the mouth, insert 0.8 to 1 inch slightly downward and rearward, avoiding the preauricular artery, and perform warm moxibustion with a moxa stick for 5 to 15 minutes.
