Jing-well (wood) point.

bubble_chart Etymology

"Zhong" (中), middle finger; "Chong" (衝), vital passage or important pathway. it is located at the tip of middle finger, serving as the jing-well point of hand jueyin pericardium meridian. It is often compared to Shaochong (HT9), the jing-well point of hand shaoyin heart meridian, located at the tip of little finger.

At the tip of middle finger, in the center of distal segment, approximately 1 fen (about 0.1 cun) from free edge of nail.
  • Lingshu-Benshu: "At the tip of middle finger",
  • Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing added: "In the depression about one leek leaf width from nail";
  • Taiping Shenghui Fang: "1 fen behind middle fingernail";
  • Zhenjiu Daquan: "At the inner tip of middle finger";
  • Yanhou Miji: "At the inner corner of middle fingernail". According to Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing and other texts, the point is located on radial side of middle finger, in the depression 1 fen behind radial corner of nail.
