"Shou" (手), upper limbs. The point is located on the forearm and is named after its correspondence Zusanli (ST36) on the lower limb. The alias "Shangsanli" has the same meaning.

On the radial side of the back of the forearm, 2 cun below the cubital crease, it is located on the line connecting Yangxi (LI5) and Quchi (LI11), 2 cun below Quchi.
  • Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "2 cun below Quchi (LI11), press to feel the raised flesh, at the tip of the sharp (or fleshy) edge";
  • Xunjing Kaoxue Bian: "Bend elbow to locate it; if taken directly, it measures 3 cun."

  • Muscles: wrist extensor longus and brevis muscles; the deep layer is the supinator muscle.
  • Nerves: dorsal cutaneous nerve of the forearm. There is a deep branch of the radial nerve under the deep tendon membrane (about 1.2 to 2.4 cm under skin).
  • Vessels: radial artery and venous branches.

Perpendicular insertion 1 to 1.5 cun toward the volar side of radius. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 ~ 5 rounds, moxibustion with moxa stick 5 ~ 10 minutes.

  • Modern: stroke hemiplegia, elbow and arm pain, facial nerve paralysis, peptic ulcer, gastritis, testicularitis.
