[Origin]
Ambition, the place where the mind is stored (Lingshu‧Benshen); room, the place of residence. Lingshu‧Benshen: "kidney storing essence, Jingshe Zhi", the point is next to Shenshu (BL23), hence the name. Also known as Jing Palace (Yixue Rumen), it has a similar meaning.

Three inches below the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra (
Mingmen (GV4)), and

[Anatomy]
- Muscles: latissimus dorsi, iliocostalis (the deep part is the kidney).
- Nerves: lateral branch of the posterior branch of the twelfth thoracic nerve, lateral branch of the posterior branch of the first lumbar nerve.
- Vessels: Second lumbar artery and dorsal branch of vein.
[Manipulation]
Perpendicular insertion or oblique insertion 0.5-0.8 cun to the side of the spine, not too deep. When treating lumpago or nephroptosis, transverse insertion 2-3 cun in the direction of Shenshu (BL23) can be performed. moxa cone moxibustion 5~7 strong, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 10~15 minutes.

- Classical: Lumbago, strong spine, fullness of both flanks, tightness in the lower abdomen, leaking urine, seminal emission, swelling and pain in the vulva, impotence, and edema.
