[Origin]
Fish, fish belly, refers to the bulge formed by the thumb bulb muscle group; Ji, edge. The acupoint is at the edge of the white meat bulge (large Yuji (LU10) muscle) on the back of the palm, hence the name. Huangdi Neijing noseYang Shang-shan Note: "The back of this section of the big finger resembles the shape of a fish, so it is named after a fish. It has red and white flesh, so it is called Yuji (LU10)."

The depression behind this section of the thumb (the 1st metacarpophalangeal joint), on the radial side of the midpoint of the 1st metacarpal bone, red and white flesh occasion.
- Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "In the scattered meridians on the back and inner side of this section of the big finger of the hand";

- Classical: cough, panting, hemoptysis, common cold, heart pain, vomiting, stomach qi sinking, diarrhea, upset, severe palpitation, abdominal distension and fullness, headache, dizziness, dry throat, pharyngitis, sore throat , toothache, dystonia, aphonia, dampness-heat, jaundice, malaria, bloody urine, impotence, infantile malnutrition with accumulation, elbow contracture, and digital swelling.
- Modern: fever, chronic bronchitis (acute stage of attack), spontaneous sweating, diarrhea in infants and young children, tonsillitis, malposition of fetus, thumb flexor tendonitis.
